Dave and I are both officially “masters”. Going forward, I will respond to “Master Farrington” (which is what Dave should be calling me anyways, let’s be honest).
I can’t believe that grad school has now come and gone. Next weekend I officially graduate, and then it’s all over.
Obviously photo was taken a couple weeks ago.
I was telling Dave that attending GW has really made my life in DC come full circle. When I arrived for my first internship in 2005, I hopped a cab to Foggy Bottom and first set foot on GW campus where I would live for the summer.
2005 was particularly memorable and I credit that experience with the reason why I am in DC today. I fell in love with the city and the hustle and bustle of the east coast. I remember thinking how wonderful it would be to attend GW one day for grad school.
Then, in 2006, I met my future husband after getting out of a cab on GW campus after a pre-Memorial Day celebration in Georgetown.
….Fast forward 4 years….
I was back in DC, working full time in the exact job that I had wanted, dating that same young man I’d met at GW, and living the DC dream, basically! In summer 2009 I made the decision to put in a last-minute application to GW’s Master of Accoutancy program. I was accepted 2 weeks before classes started and my life has been a whirlwind ever since.
A photo I snapped of the GW hippo after my very last class.
Goodbye and thanks for the memories GW, it’s been real!
